Blackstone invests in Maldives
Famous investment company Blackstone has acquired major shares of two seaplane companies in Maldives. Blockstone is a listed company in New York Stock Exchange. The company buys the ownership at a time Maldivesbest was saying that its the perfect time to invest in Maldives. The two companies bought by Blackstone was Maldivian Air Taxi (MAT) and Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA). MAT was founded by a foreign investor about 20 years back and he rant the company profitably over the years. It remained a highly profitable business throughout.
This is the first time an NY listed company invests in Maldives. It is likely that huge investments will soon start flowing in. Maldives government greatly encourages foreign investments in highly profitable tourist industry.
