Workers protest in Alimatha Aquatic Resort

29 Jan 2013: Haveeru Daily reports Alimatha Aquatic Resort is under protest by the workers. They are demanding for pay rise and more Service Charge. The protest came after a written petition submitted to management of Alimatha a month back. Among the members of staff on strike are Room Attendants, Kitchen staff, Waiters and other frontline workers. At this time the resort is having high occupancy. The management of Alimatha has now sought help from near by resorts to keep up the operation. It is not clear whether guests on the island know this, many such cases get unnoticed and solved quickly.
