You cannot ask for a more romantic setting. Kuramathi offers different renewal of love packages to suit your plans. From a simple service at the beach to an elegant one at the islands sandbank or a more traditional and elaborate setting at the chapel oflove set over the lagoon. The choice is yours and once it is made, the rest is left to the islanders of Kuramathi whilst you relax and pamper yourselves in anticipation for the big day.

Set either on the stunning expanse of the powder-soft white sandbank of Kuramathi, or out in the lagoon at our Serenade pavilion or on the beach, with the turquoise Indian Ocean as your backdrop, this simple yet elegant ceremony is every brides dream come true.

On arrival to your villa, you will find a tray of homemade chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate your arrival to our beautiful island. During the days leading up to your special day, several indulgences are offered yours to pick and choose. On the day of your ceremony, two members of our bridal party will visit your villa to collect your wedding rings. In the afternoon, the bridesmaid will collect the bride from thevilla and escort her to the make-up and preparation room. Once the groom is ready in his attire for the day, the bestman will pick him up in our ceremonial buggy all decorated for the occasion. A troupe of bodu beru or local drummers will march along the buggy to the venue. The Master of Ceremony meets him on arrival and waits with him for the arrival of his bride. When the bride is finally ready for the day, the troupe of drummers escort her to thevenue of the ceremony in a local sailing Dhoni, where she finds her groom waiting in anticipation. Together they walk hand in hand towards the master of ceremony to begin the rest of their lives. The ceremony begins with the exchangeof vows and rings. The couple then signs their renewal of vow certificate and the register. The Master of Ceremonypresents the bride and groom with a traditional gift and the framed certificate. The celebrations carry on with the cutting of the wedding cake and flowing sparkling wine. Local finger food and wine is served as well.Later that evening, the couple celebrates on with a 5 course romantic candlelit dinner and sparkling wine on the each.Upon returning to their room, they will find a special turndown with flower petals and local leaves. The next day, a sparkling wine breakfast is served in the villa for the special guests.

A typical itinerary for the day

10:00 hrs Collection of the rings by the wedding party.
14:00 hrs Bride is escorted to the spa for any pre-wedding treatments. Groom isescorted to a preparation room.
15:45 hrs Best Man collects the Groom in the ceremonial buggy and bodu berutroupe and escorts him to the location of their choice, where he waits for his bride.
16:00 hrs The Bride and Bridesmaid are collected in the ceremonial buggy andbodu beru troupe and escorted to the jetty, where they will sail to the location ofchoice in a Dhoni.
16:15 hrs The Groom and Bride walk hand in hand down the aisle towards theMaster of the Ceremony who begins the service with the exchange of vows. Thecouple exchanges rings, signs the renewal of love certificate and registry.
16:30 hrs Celebrations continue with the cutting of the wedding cake, followed bysparkling wine to toast. A Maldivian tea buffet and house wine is served to the coupleat a beachside table.
19:30 hrs Romantic candlelit dinner served on the beach or sundeck.Special turndown with tropical flower decoration.
Next Day Sparkling wine in room breakfast in bed.
